How and why to find a local florist…
An issue that is becoming more and more of an issue, and not just around the major floral holidays. after 30 years combined in the “Biz” we have a few tips.
1. When you Google for a Shop in the area you want to send flowers to. Don’t just pick the first ones Google gives you that are in the shaded area at the top of the list. Those are all “Order Gatherers” and they pay money for their Google listings, and they most likely are just a phone bank thousands of miles away from where you want flowers delivered.
2. Don’t discount the power of social media. Yelp is a powerful tool. You can also use Facebook. A real local florist will have a good active company Facebook page and you’ll notice the names of other companies they regularly do business with that are in the same immediate local.
3. Try calling a good local Hotel you know is in the area. Their front desk staff/Concierge crew will gladly tell you who they use and who they very likely even know the people who run that shop.
Those are just a few tips. If you need more help or advice don’t hesitate to send us a message. We’ll be glad to help.
