A celebration of Loretta’s life…
This past Monday, Scott’s mom passed away. As we do so many times, we offered up beautiful flowers with unique touches that related to her life. She loved her chickens and sold eggs to many people in her life.
Julie created a beautiful casket piece of purples and yellows and vibrant pinks. Mollie built a chicken coop to sit in the center of it.
Accompanying easel sprays were created with tomatoes and garden flowers and foliage relating to her love of gardening.
Eggs in brightly colored egg cartons filled this easel spray with her love for chickens and selling eggs!
Congratulations Michelle and Taylor!
Here’s a couple more wedding bouquets from this weekend’s fun…beautiful, romantic, and overstuffed seemed to be the theme.
Beautiful old fashioned ‘Yves Piaget’ Roses, ‘Maria Theresia’ Roses, Dahlias, Calla lilies and berries were combined in this stunning bouquet created by Julie for Miss Taylor!

Hailee Gets Married!
Traditional flowers such as casablanca lilies, soft ‘sweet avalanche’ roses, freesia, sweetpeas, hydrangeas and dahlias come together in this fragrant bouquet created for Hailee. It’s a wonderfully classic look for this summer bride
The stems of her bouquet were adorned with beaded pearls and soft pink bullion as a romantic surprise for her.
Her headtable was created as a tablescape that stretches down her table and accomodates perfect places to set their bouquets for the partying yet to begin.
Casey Loves Orange!
We love meeting with brides. They are all bubbly and excited, and even sometimes neurotic and that’s ok. But even more than that, we love meeting with brides that live on the wild side. They come to us, they know what they want, but are willing to let us go…Let us “work our magic” as we say around our store. Casey was no exception. When Erik met with Casey, she said she loved orange and yellow and gerbera daisies. From there, he “worked his magic!”
Here’s her fabulous orange bouquet. Roses, zinnias, miniature gerbera daisies, tulips, crespedia balls, fern curls and pods created a ball shaped stunning look for her to carry down the aisle.
Erik also created simple attendant’s bouquets of miniature gerbera daisies with a simple and whimsical grass treatment on the stems below the blooms.
Breathtaking views of the Columbia Gorge at Skamania Lodge were framed for her special day with an arch built by her father. Denise of Flowers Washougal graciously setup the floral decor and made certain everything was beautiful and wind-hearty for Casey’s ceremony.
Congratulations Ami…You are a beautiful bride!
Ami’s beautiful bouquet created by Julie consisted of buttery ‘Alexandra’ roses, old fashioned roses, dahlias, sage green hydrangeas, calla lilies, phalaenopsis orchids, fern curls and crespedia balls. Simply soft and lucious.

Julie also created stunning vibrant bouquets for her attendants that coordinated in shades of yellows and a touch of blue. Dahlias, roses, tulips and veronica completed the look.

Because we are all about detail, not a step if missed when it comes to the smaller parts of a wedding. Although they are small, we find the boutonnieres and corsages to be just as important in the overall wedding. Check out these simple and fun boutonnieres Julie created for Ami’s guys…
Beautiful simple bubble bowls brimming with hydrangeas, roses, and dahlias in lemon filled glass bowls and curly willow swirled bowls completed a stunningly simple outdoor reception.
Hawaiian Festival at Esther Short Park!
Each year, we create beautiful tropical arrangements for the Hawaiian Festival in Esther Short Park. Sari Aho of Aho Construction graciously pays for our creations each year! This year, we pushed the limits of our creativity by building box structures that emcompassed fabulous flowers such as anthurium, oncidium orchids, heliconia and fabulous tropical foliages. To add drama, one design was created vertical from the ground up and the other was created vertical hanging from the top down! Great fun!

Summertime Weddings!
Julie’s garden is in full swing, which means, each and every wedding we do, incorporates a little bit of her amazing love of gardening and funky cool flowers and northwest stuff!
Here’s a prime example of what we can do, thanks to Julie and her fabulous garden of wonderment! (Each and every flower came from her garden!)
Best of Luck to Morey & Jillian!
Our greatest passion in design currently evolves around a northwest organic look. Not every bride is suitable to suggest such a look, but when they come to us and say they love anything “weird and succulent” we know it’s time to pull out all the stops!
Morey and Jillian tied the knot at Mcmenamin’s Edgefield this past weekend. With colors of deep yellow white and sage green, we created textural bouquets for her girls and her. Dahlias, kangaroo paws, hydrangeas, succulents, billy balls and fragrant freesia were all incorporated.

Her bouquet of the same stunning varieties also incorporated a stunning surprise element, phalaenopsis orchids. This avante garde combination made her bouquet extra special!
Congratulations Steve & Angela!
This past weekend, we created vividly wonderful bridal flowers for Angela and Steve. Members of one of our weekly church deliveries at The Church of Good Shepherd in Vancouver, they knew where to go to get incredible flowers for their special day!
Angela selected miniature gerbera daisies, calla lilies, iris, and hydrangea among other wonderful touches. Her colors in fuchsia, yellow, purple and lime green were anything but bland!

Erik decided to surprise her with a few fun touches such as wild sweetpeas (provided by Julie) trachelium and stunningly bright verbena!
A simple and stunning cake was created by Megan at Cakes by Design which we embellished with all of the wonderful flowers incorporated into Angela’s wedding theme.
