PFDE Testing for AIFD

Over 100 people tested to become members into AIFD this year. Erik is one of many that passed his testing and will invited to join AIFD next summer! Here are some of the designs that he created for the test.

Stunning contemporary yellow rose bouquet with turquoise wire beads and bobbles	Erik created a unique sympathy design suitable for the funeral service for someone that loved the beach. Calla lilies, eremuris, roses, succulents, shells and more were incorporated into this fabulous design!
Erik created a modern linear design suitable for the home with gladiolus and steel grass framing a focal emphasis of sunflowers. Petals of sunflowers lift away as if to float to heaven	This design, although not one of Erik's personal favorites, was part of the tested which allowed judges to see if you could duplicate a design. Each contestant was given a photo in which they had to duplicate everything about the design.

This category was for an "over-the-shoulder" adornment...Erik created a whimiscal corsage of Calla lilies, billy balls, hypericum, live wire and gems appropriate for a wedding.

White Roses, hydrangeas and calla lilies added the crisp clean feel to the event.

Long arrangements consisted of grapes, corks, grapevines and hundreds of red carnations paved together in a sea of red, green and cork brown.

Look close! You will see some corks entwined on vines!

Niki’s buffet arrangement was created in a bowl brimming with corks and corks on grapevine. Shots of vibrant red crocosmia added the life to the party!

Here her bouquet was created from billy balls, dahlias, lilies, calla lilies, hydrangea, hypericum, and polka dot feathers. The combination was really fabulous!

This beautiful bridal bouquet was created by Erik for a wedding this last weekend. Shelby carried a bouquet of eggplant calla lilies, white calla lilies, deep luscious lisianthus, purple aranda orchids, stephanotis and seeded eucalyptus. This combination was truly stunning! My my, purple is coming back into trend again!

Below is her stunning toss bouquet…a bit of whimsy was added with cascading orchids and wire beading…Fun!

These Stunning Arrangements were created in cone shaped containers on stands. Anthurium, orchids, heliconia, bamboo, crocosmia and tropical foliages were combined together in this dramatic look.

Tall arrangements towered above many of the tables with bamboo, ti leaves and crocosmia. Simple and stunning!

On other tables, low bowls of river stone, bamboo, palms and anthurium dressed up the tables.

On Niki’s buffet tables, we created long tablescape arrangements of tropical splendor! Overall a really great event! Thanks to everyone that referred us and for such a great opportunity to show what Flowers Washougal can do!

Bridesmaid’s carried sweet nosegays of freesia, roses, mokara orchids, billy balls, succulents, lamb’s ear and much much more. The vibrant shades of yellow and contrasting grays made for a sophisticated yet casual feel perfect for the afternoon affair.

Amanda’s toss bouquet consisted of all things textural in a display of organic wonder.

Her boutonnieres were anything but ordinary. Each different, they displayed many of the individual elements of the wedding in “small bites”

This custom cake was created by Sweet Cakes by Melissa - Gresham, OR. We adorned the cake with all of the wonderful touches of the wedding. Adding manzanita branches to the look really added a bold and beautiful texture to the overall look.

This past weekend we had the glorious and fun job of creating flowers for Washougal High School’s 2010 Graduates! This year we decided to create a panther paw of flowers surrounded by tropical foliages and stunning ‘Orange Unique’ roses in a vegetative design style! It was great fun to create and stunning for our future of Washougal…GO PANTHERS!

Soft lavender ‘Ocean Song’ roses, crisp white tulips, fragrant wood hyacinth, miniature calla lilies, lily of the valley and soft fuzzy lambs ear create this romantic and luscious look for Kristen. Congratulations!
